Scholarship Interviews Have You Stressed? Look No Further!

Where do you or your child want to go to college? What area of study? What activities, sports, or clubs are most interesting? In state or out of state? How are you going to pay for it?

As a new school year is approaching and rising high school seniors are considering about where they'd like to go to college. Thinking about how you will pay for college is one of the biggest factors when deciding where to study. Scholar applications and interviews can be intimidating, here are a few tips to help make the process easier.

  1. Get to know the program and school: Admission officers want to see that you have done your research and know about the program which you are applying.

  2. Have an inventory of your accomplishments: After listing your academic achievements, college recruiters want to know what other extracurricular activities you have been investing yourself into outside the world of academia.

  3. Prepare: Record yourself answering anticipated questions. This will give you a chance to review your body language and eye contact.

  4. Practice: Grab a parent or hire a coach to help you practice interviewing skills.
